  • Anacortes Community Health Council
    • Deacon Eric serves as the president and David Laidman as secretary/treasurer of this non-profit organization that brings together churches, government agencies, city & area non-profits and area social service providers in an effort to connect people and services in Anacortes and the Skagit Valley. Additionally, the contributions of ten Anacortes’ churches enables the  Community Health Council to provide emergency shelter via its consolidated motel voucher pool.
  • Island Hospital Chaplaincy
    • Rev. Diane Ramerman serves as a chaplain at Island Hospital and has received additional training in the special needs of the healthcare environment. As a chaplain, she provides emotional and pastoral support to patients, family members and staff.
  • La Iglesia de la Resurrección Summer Camp
    • Rev Carol Rodin is part of the team (with Pastor Emilio Benitez, Deacon Robin Ringland, Francisco Lopez) that is putting together the funding, volunteers and infrastructure for the summer camp for over 180 children of Mount Vernon’s indigenous Mexican community.  This effort is supported by volunteers from Christ Church (and other area Episcopal and Lutheran churches) who act as teachers, aides, along with those who perform other duties as required.
  • Pastoral Care Circle
    • Rev. Diane, Diane Canington, Bonita Janz, Carolyn Leaver, Valerie Long, Dale Ramerman, Creamy Wilkins and Deacon Eric provide a listening and caring presence in the congregation and in the wider Anacortes community.  This Circle, along with a number of ad-hoc volunteers, provide pastoral support, including bringing meals and companionship to persons recovering from surgery, being with bereaved families, caring for the homeless, and offering transportation and other assistance.
